Our school gathered as a community before Winter Break for our annual Holiday Light Ceremony. We receive the Peace Light of Bethlehem and share it with any family that would like for it to light their home as well. This year we were so fortunate to have Deacon Lee Abbot share the story of Advent with the families. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and we are looking forward to an exciting new year! #nhsal

The Upper Elementary students began building benches in the Makerspace last week. These benches will be placed in the outdoor classroom so students have a place to work and observe the natural environment. Students used all kinds of tools to measure, cut, and assemble the benches. We are excited to have this addition to our outdoor classroom! Stay tuned for the next build day! #nhsal

Upper Elementary students started this snowy morning off with some fun in the Maker Space making exploding slime! It’s important to balance hard work with some fun experiments. They sure had a blast! #nhsal

Big thanks to NH Coding Academy for leading Hour of Code for our Upper Elementary students yesterday! As a part of Computer Science Education Week we participated in an Hour of Code. Students had a blast learning how to create their own number guessing game using Scratch. We can’t wait to see where their coding adventures will take them! #nhsal

Applied Learning in an innovative Makerspace environment designed to empower and engage adolescents in grades 6-8. Specifically designed to support the cognitive, motivational and social needs of adolescents in a dynamic community environment rich with real-world learning.

It is with great pride that we announce the addition of NH School of Applied Learning as an alternative Middle School for Greater Londonderry students. The notion of this school has been five (5) years in the making; a program designed specifically for the tween/teen, empowering them to own their learning and make connections to relevance in their world.”
